We talk to a lot of people about what they like most about living in the Nashville area – in fact, keeping our finger on the pulse of Middle Tennessee is part of what we do. A common theme among the people who call Music City home is the spirit of collaboration that’s woven into the fabric of our community. It’s easy to build a network here – all you have to do is go out and start meeting new people. And with that in mind, here are a few upcoming tech community events to add to your calendar.
Girl Geek Dinners – Sept. 21 & 28
Girl Geek Dinners connect women in technology careers throughout Middle Tennessee, with a goal of helping inspire and encourage “girl geeks” as they grow their skills and network.
WomenGetIT – Sept. 29
WomenGetIT is a mentorship program that connects future IT talent, students, women interested in technology and those re-entering the workforce with local IT professionals. Men are welcome to join, too!
Nashville Geek Breakfast – Oct. 6
Nashville Geek Breakfast is a community-driven breakfast and networking opportunity for techies.
Vaco’s Geektoberfest – Oct. 12
With free beer, games and giveaways, this fifth annual event is Vaco’s most popular IT networking get-together.
